Monica Poindexter, Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Lyft, will interview  Valerie B. Jarrett, one of President Obama's longest serving advisors. The phenomenal women will cover leadership, representation, politics and her new book “Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward”.

Valerie B. Jarrett was the longest serving Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama and is a senior advisor to the Obama Foundation. She oversaw the Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and Chaired the White House Council on Women and Girls.  Her New York Times bestselling book, Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward, was released in April and shares her perspective on leadership, activism and finding your own voice.

Black Voters Matter: Intersection of Tech and Black Liberation
The 40,000 Rising! Tour, starting June 30th, will travel around the state of Louisiana for a campaign to register the 40,000 voters. They are bringing the Blackest Bus in America to the Black Tech NOLA conference. BLack Voters Matter will set up voter registration at the event, lead a panel to challenge the way we think about tech and social and economic justice, and will close the event out with a BIG BANG celebrating Black Excellence during Tech After Hours!
